Adult Only Camping Château de Lacomté is steeped in French History. The Historical secrets of Lacomté are many, and the main building that today houses the restaurant, bar and reception, has an enormous attic which during the Second World War was used as a hospital and stop over for the Allied Servicemen and Resistance escaping from the Germans, who occupied Carlucet.

We have been told that the original Château (unfortunately just a ruin now) dates back to the times of the Knight's Templars and not too far on the other side of the village there is a building with the remains of a Templars insignia on the wall and also a round stone table and seats can be seen in the grass opposite.

Relax around our superb outdoor swimming pool (23m x 13m,) and soak up the peace and tranquility of our Park with it's fabulous back drop of rural France. No water shutes, no diving boards, no kids, no stress just the sounds of the countryside.

We have live music nights once a week usually with a large Barbecue, the style of music varies according to our guests

from classic French accordian, to jazz, ragtime, blues or rock.

There plenty of good walks in the immediate vicinity of the site, ideal for both walkers and nature lovers, with many species of rare butterflies, orchids and other wild life.

We are planning a photo competition for 2010 as so many of our guests enjoy capturing these rare sights on camera.
